I was never that big a fan of Jane's Addiction to begin with -- I always viewed them as taking the worst parts of Guns 'N Roses and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, placing them in a crucible of street drugs and goth posture to form some sort of Frankenstein monster that would never seem to go away.   1. God, man, that new Kanye suuUUUuuUUuuux. I kept waiting for the good song! He's fallen into the Eminem trap of only rapping about how great he already is & all the shit he already did... their first albums (Em & Ye) were both SO much better because of the relate-to-able subject matter (I'm tired of fucking the same blonde whore in the backseat of a Contour too!) and then each subsequent album just gets less and less about, like, anything in particular, and more and more mired in this boast that gets harder to back up the farther the artist gets from the actual badass songs he used to do. ANYWAY. --t
