Little Feat - Dixie Chicken - I'll admit I've never really gained an appreciation for Little Feat; I generally like their songs but there always seems to be something a little off or half-baked to how they put them together, to me anyway. But Dixie Chicken was sitting right next to the preview headphones at Barnes & Noble this evening, and my third eye was blinded by the synthesizer and semi-tabla sub Steve Miller Band radiation on "Kiss it Off" and its line: Your the child of some electric nightmare/you could move mountains, the swords of fire. Which...wow. I think I get Little Feat even less, but I kinda like them more for it.
