There is not much that distiguishes this homemade sandwich from any
other except that moments earlier it was a bag of ingredients walked
home from Calandro's - except the Reising's French bread, a loaf so
long it fits no mortal bag and must be cantilevered on one's shoulder
like a hobo's tote - and all that designates it a Calandwich.

that is quite a handsome sammich you have there. calandro's. ah, i made many a last minute run to calandro's during my stay in the red stick.
