I was working under erroneous information when I lightheartedly trashed Kurt Vile's alleged pseudonym yesterday. I was informed by a commenter, and it has been since confirmed by his publicist, that the guy's name is actually Kurt Vile and not a play on that of Threepenny Opera composer Kurt Weill. My sincere apologies to Mr. Vile, whose forthcoming album Childish Prodigy is in contention for one of my favorites of the year, and the whole Vile family.
