It ascends a daunting peak in the terrain of popular music, perhaps a mountain of cheese or a monumental pyramid of beer cans, but one as high as any other lofty perch music can attain, its vista surveying love itself. It could go on for days, as it often does when covered, because like love, there is no logical ceasing of its cycles. It’s defiant of style or fashion or simplicity of sentiment. Like love itself, “Caught Up in You” endures.
