Belle & Sebastian - Tigermilk (listen) - I am close to declaring Belle & Sebastian my favorite living band. I don't know who I would put up against them that wouldn't topple over at their pale but spirited wind.
Felt - Me and My Monkey on the Moon (listen) Felt was the finest of the little bands. This was the tail piece in their 10-album + 10 single train of exquisite understatement-as-glory. Part exercising latent country-rock tendencies, part exorcising a project bracket that has run its course. Get out of my mirror indeed!
